Seeking motivated, Senior Production Manager, able to communicate with, motivate and manage as appropriate all levels from shop floor staff to International Blue Chip customers.

You will have a proven track record in achieving results, to time and quality, based on batch process operation.

You will be professionally adept and able to present to and communicate knowledgeably with alll sizes and experiences of customers, from one man band with no production knowledge to representatives of production areas of International Blue Chip companies.

You will be experienced in implementation and maintenance of improvement processes, without being bound up in theory. You will therefore be able to assess impact of your actions across the business as a whole.

The position requires you to control and manage all aspects of a Production facility, including warehousing and engineering, as well as packing and manufacturing. Administrative support is provided for planning, purchasing etc,
You should be able to write risk assessments, and procedures for operation of any area of the production departments.

The position reports directly to the Operations Director, and is aimed at those who either look to develop their role into that of Operations Director within a period of three to five years, or to those who have held this role in the past and now look to make a difference without quite as much hassle as a director level position may bring.

Experience of project management would be an advantage, however the monetary value of any project is irrelevant compared to the complexity.

The position offered is in a very fast moving and changeable environment, requiring a good degree of lateral thinking ability and a high level of common sense. Whilst the position is managing and improving, this is not something achieved solely in an office and you will need to get out onto the factory floor on a frequent basis to monitor and develop staff and processes.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills, and will start at the £40K+ level. (including contractual bonus and pension contribution)

You will probably be a graduate in a science based discipline. Fluent in spoken and written English
