Experienced Mechanical Installation / Commissioning Engineer with Electrical Knowledge

We are looking for an experienced installation / commissioning engineer with experience of installing production machinery. Ideally you will have experience of taping machinery, but if you have installation experience in parallel industries such as machine tools or packaging machinery this will also be appropriate.

You will have excellent mechanical engineering including fitting and machining experience.
A working knowledge of electrical systems is a must for fault finding should a problem arise.

You will be working directly with customers, so you should have a positive and focused approach with good communication skills and a confident manner. You will be able to communicate at all levels as this job encompasses training of operators right through to talking with managing directors.

The installations are mainly overseas, as most customers are outside the UK. With our average installation taking between 3 days and 2 weeks and you can expect to be travelling approximately 12 weeks per year.

For the remainder of the time you will be based at the office in Leicester, where you will work as part of our production and development team testing our machines prior to despatch and developing our next generation of machines.

We are looking for an individual with good organisational skills, able to manage themselves and requiring minimal supervision. Ability to identify and resolve problems is a key factor in the role both for the commissioning and development parts of the job.
