Senior Analyst Programmer
Based near Leicester my client is looking to recruit a Senior Analyst Programmer.
You will:
Provide analytical and development skills across a range of business areas.
Utilise Project Management and planning skills, escalating issues as required
Plan, monitor and review work for other developers
Provide ad-hoc analysis and reports as required
Increase the awareness and skills of Microsoft BI within the team
Proactively improve existing skills, taking on new technical skills as appropriate, and continuously seek to expand business knowledge.
Conduct thorough analysis and diagnosis of problems
Monitor evolving IT trends and business requirements, working with third parties to identify and assess appropriate tools/solutions as required
Experience will include:
Experience of working with scalable data warehousing and an understanding of how these are structured
Developing business intelligence in a large company
Experience Microsoft SQL Server, Analysis Services and MDX (on SQL Server 2005/2008)
Proven ability to write SQL statements
Proven ability to perform effective Analysis in unfamiliar business areas on small to large scale projects, providing realistic estimates and timescales as part of the analysis
Desirable
Knowledge of the full Microsoft BI stack including future developments
Exposure to .NET programming
Business Objects XI2 Designer and Deski development skills
Informix SQL/DBAccess experience
Unix/AIX (including VI and nawk) skills
