Leicester home swap
Large 2 Bed Plus cash.
Offering money as getting fed up of trying now-no one seems to be exchanging these days. £500 cash.
I have a huge two bedroomed maisonette,(ground floor ) in a cul-de-sac. From the outside looks like a three story house, as there is a flat where the loft should be - as soon as you get in the front door is just like a house. I have own private front and back gardens, and beyond my private back garden is a huge secure grassed communal area for all of the residents to enjoy. I live on the end of the block and have lived in this house for ten years, and am now ready for a change
These maisonettes are absolutely huge, much bigger than any other two bed property I have ever seen. There is double glazing througout, and we are on the district heating which is included in the rent (£315 per month rent and heating/hotwater) and you can use as much heating and hotwater without any extra cost, so it is very cheap place to live.
As you walk in the front door there is a small hallway with a huge kitchen/dining room. the stairs are open plan which come down into the kitchen. There is a large storage cupboard, walk in size which i keep my freezer and other bits and bobs in, just off the kitchen.
To the rear of the house is the lounge, large square shape, nothing really to say about that , it is a really large room, then through to the back garden. Upstairs I have two large double bedrooms, and a seperate bathroom and toilet. There is another walk in cupboard upstairs, which compensates for the loss of a loft, and an airing cupboard. The house is in reasonable but clean decorative state, I havent decorated for a couple of years, but its all clean.
It is a Leicester city council property, but I would consider housing associations. The council are coming out to re-wire the property over the next couple of weeks, which they give a decorating grant, so dependant on how long it is before I hear about a move, I may have started redecorating to make a move more appealing or the decorating vouchers would obviously be yours.
As I stated, It is a cul-de-sac, and is very quiet, i have decent neighbours, no problems there. The flats at the top are always reserved by the council for elderly people so you never hear a peep out of them. They have a warden controlled thing for them, but the maisonettes are families, all decent people
I would like to stay in Leicester but have no connections with this immediate area, so I dont mind either staying in this area or moving to another area of the city dependant on what offers I get.
The parking is in a parking bay out front, and there are garages on the street, which you would have to arrange seperately with the council, i believe they are about £5 per week to rent.
Local amenities are excellent, there is a doctors practically next door, all shops you could need along uppingham road, and the bus stop for a trip in to town is literally 2 mins away.
