This is an immediate opportunity for a professional and experienced Logistics / Warehouse /Operations Manager to join a dynamic and expanding retail and wholesale business within the home improvement / leisure sectors . An excellent bonus system (based on net profit) exists and the role has exceptional progression opportunities for the right person.

The Job Role
-Overseeing all operations within the business concerned with goods in, goods out, warehousing, freight handling and stock management
-Taking full responsibility for managing a team consisting of supervisors, warehouse staff (both permanent and temporary) and various other roles which are spread over three sites in Leicestershire.
- Leading cost and efficiency saving initiatives
-Improving processes and procedures on site e.g stock management and stock control systems
-Providing accurate and up to date information to the directors


This position would suit
-An experienced manager with a full understanding of all operations that make up the activities of an SME involved with the retail / wholesale sectors
-Candidates who can demonstrate a strong background in managing the whole warehousing operations of a company.
-Excellent IT literacy and the ability to use computerised management systems is essential
-A highly organised, process driven manager
-Candidates must be commercially aware and experienced in driving cost / efficiency saving programmes
-All applicants must have a flexible approach to working hours and times
