This is an immediate opportunity to join a leading aerospace manufacturing business. Applicants are required to oversee and improve the entire quality process, and to work across the entire business to create a 'culture of quality' and improve processes and procedures.
The Job Role
-Take responsibility for, and leadership of, a small team of quality staff
-Work with the manufacturing engineers to identify the source of quality issues
-Oversee the development of a 'culture of quality' within the business
-Ensure that all relevant ISO / QS accreditations are adhered to
-Liaison with suppliers to ensure compliance with specification sheets
-Implementing corrective / preventative action and updating quality manuals etc as required
-Reporting in to the senior management team, providing reports in a timely / accurate fashion
This Position Would Suit
-An experienced quality manager with experience in aerospace (applications from exceptional candidates from other manufacturing disciplines will be considered)
-A candidate with proven experience in developing quality standards and reducing manufacturing defects
-Applicants with experience in Kanban, Kaizen and Six Sigma (preferably black belt qualified), and other progressive manufacturing techniques
-Experience in managing and developing a small team is a distinct advantage
-A credible and professional candidate who is able to communicate with authority and clarity
-An applicant looking to 'make their mark' on a progressive business
