Budding performers aged 7-16 can enroll on an exciting Musical Theatre Summer school, held at the John Fernley High School (Scalford Road, Melton Mowbray) from Monday July 28-Friday August 1st. From 10am-4pm each day children will take part in acting, singing and dancing workshops with practicing professionals. The summer school culminates in a performance to friends and family at 5pm on the Friday.

It is run by EDGE DANCE (Encouraging Dance Growth in Education), a new company launched by Melton dancer Sarah Jaggard. Sarah trained at Melton College and then at Bretton Hall. She is a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher. This year she will be performing on the main stage at Glastonbury, which will be televised.

Sarah explains:
“For one week you will live the life of a performer as you are put through your paces learning script, choreography and songs from unforgettable West End shows. The week ends in a performance your family and friends will not want to miss!”
