Teacher of Humanities (Geography) - MPS
December/January - July 2010 (Maternity Cover)

Fullhurst is a school in special measures but is making rapid progress.  We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to teach Geography to KS4 however the school would consider application from teacher with other Humanities specialisms.

Fullhurst Community College is an 11-16 community college serving a culturally diverse catchment area. In October 2007 the college benefited from £12 Million of investment through the Building Schools for the Future program. The redevelopment of the school involved a part new build and partial refurbishment of the site. The school now has state of the art facilities and resources to encourage innovative learning and to give students the best chance to achieve their full potential.

 The successful applicant will:

- plan, prepare and teach lessons to KS3 and KS4;
- have a passion for teaching Geography;
- enthuse and motivate students;
- participate in the development of schemes of work and lesson plans;
- work collaboratively with colleagues;
- demonstrate excellent classroom skills;
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and
- be passionate about learning and committed to working with the full range of students needs and talents.
