Rent Income Officer
My client is looking to recruit a Income Recovery Officer to work from their Leicestershire office
Main job role
Provide a centralised role and have specialist knowledge within income generation
Deliver a face to face responsive service to customers
Be proactive in delivering and developing services to prevent problems occurring
Respond to requests for expert advice from Customer Services Advisors, local officers and other staff as required
Carry out training to staff and other customers in relation to income generation
To keep up to date with current legislation and best practise to ensure the service is of the highest standard
To provide information related to income generation in a variety of formats which will be available to all customers as required
To recover debts owed to the group in accordance with policies and procedures under the supervision of the Income Generation Manager
To present re-possession cases at court and carry out the eviction process
To interview Customers in the office and visit Customers at their homes to make arrangements for the repayment of debts
Provide a customer focused service, establishing why the rent arrears have accrued to ensure vulnerable Customers are given assistance
Offer debt and welfare benefits advice to Customers
Signpost Customers to a variety of statutory, voluntary and private organisations for specialised advice
Liaise effectively with a variety of statutory, voluntary and private organisations including local authorities, Housing Benefit Departments, Courts, Welfare Rights Services, Benefits Agency and Debt Management Services
