Abbey have appointed Hays Resource Management to manage the resourcing of all their permanent staff, 5000 vacancies plus per annum. The contract is nationwide and includes recruitment for all Branch, Central and processing functions for Abbey, Bradford & Bingley and Alliance & Leicester roles.
This is the largest contract of its type in the UK and is an extremely exciting win for HRM. It is the first contract of its' type and scope and includes all aspects of recruitment, marketing and attraction and the offer and referencing process.
The role provides first point of contact to candidates through telephone interviews and other screening processes to determine suitable candidates for roles. You will manage campaign response and promote Abbey to suitable candidates supporting Resourcing Consultants to shortlist for specific roles
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Build & maintain effective working relationships with candidates both internally and externally in response to job vacancies
·Work with the Recruitment Specialists regarding future campaigns and strategy
·Build and maintain a database of candidates specific to Abbey
·Maintain this database through mailings and phone calls to ensure integrity of live candidate numbers
·Administer and respond to all correspondence as required
·Verify and check all applications against Abbey Regulatory and legal requirements
·Prepare for and attend recruitment events as required
·Internal recruitment administration
·Ensure accurate reporting at all times
·Make recommendations for improvements to service and process in a mode of continuous improvement
·Ensure compliance with Abbey Recruitment & Referencing Policy at all times
·Deal with campaign response and shortlist candidates for suitable jobs

Skills and Experience Required:
·Experience of recruitment and / or marketing
·Proven ability to work to targets and SLAs
·PC literate
·Proven ability to follow procedures and processes
·Taken ownership of issues/problems
·Handled multiple priorities & peaks in workflow
·Excellent communication skills
·Able to build and maintain a database
·Organisation and flexibility
·Business experience
