Sous Chef Rosette Restaurant Near Oakham
My client is a very long and well established traditional hotel. They have 2 different restaurants within their busy hotel and are looking for a strong Sous chef to join their brigade and help the Head Chef deliver the consistently excellent food.
This is a very busy fresh food restaurant with both fine dining and bistro aspects tot the menu so this does require someone flexible and someone who can cope with a large fresh menu. As the Sous Chef you will be expected to deputise in the absence of the Head Chef, this involves managing the team, making sure that the correct items are ordered from the suppliers and it may also include some support of changing the menu and adding new dishes which match the GP targets.
This is a very well established team of chefs and they are looking for someone who will not only be able to do the job but also someone they can get along with and enjoy working with.
Ideally you will have worked within a hotel before, either as a Senior CDP or a junior Sous, perhaps even a Sous chef from a smaller property. You will have dealt with at least 2 menus before and you will have excellent experience at handling fresh food.
Salary
The starting salary for this role is between 20,000 and 24,000 depending on experience. Live in may be possible.
