The Position
An increase in work load has created a need for an experienced BREEAM Assessor. The successful candidate will be joining the Sustainability and Thermal Modelling group, part of the Building Services division. Your responsibilities will include
• Undertake BREEAM assessments (Education, Offices, Bespoke)
• Developing the company's BREEAM and Sustainability profile
• Assist engineers and architects on BREEAM contributions
• Assist engineers and architects on other sustainability areas
• Takes instruction from Team Leader
• Deputises for senior staff as appropriate
• Liaises directly with Clients
• Supervises junior staff on a day to day basis
• Helps ensure projects are delivered on time
The Person
Professional BREEAM qualification (BREEAM Education as a minimum)
1-3 years BREEAM Assessor experience
Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
Knowledge of current legislation e.g. Building Regulations, Building Bulletins for Schools, BREEAM
Resource planning and management experience
Relevant MSc/PhD degree – desirable
Understanding of architectural and building services areas
Extensive computer familiarity (Microsoft Office package)
Awareness of building services design principles - desirable
Knowledge/use of dynamic thermal modelling – desirable
Experience in Renewable Energy assessments – desirable
Education Sector experience – desirable
