Singer based in Leicester wants to join indie rock band

I'm a grade 8 singer and would like to join/form an indie/rock band in Leicester/Leicestershire. I'd really like to be involved with something that sounds like Rilo Kiley or Florence and the Machine. I'd love to eventually tour and record too. I have been in an acoustic covers band for about two years now and have been playing all kinds of different venues, but my guitarist is moving away so I would love to start something bigger. I've never written songs before but would love to start collaborating with others on finding the band's own voice. I'd prefer if the band members were around my age (24) but this isn't crucial.
