I am a 31 year old physically disabled young woman with spinal muscular atrophy who requires 24hour care to live independently. I live in a two bedroom flat (one of which is the PA’s room) and currently have three other PAs but I am now looking for a 4th lady to assist me and cover 48hours. The rate of pay is £6.60 per hour.

I am also looking for weekend and casual staff to work on an as and when basis, for when my permanent staff take their annual leave or are off sick.

The duties and requirements of my personal assistants include:

Attending to personal care needs – toileting, washing, dressing, feeding, night care etc.
Household tasks – laundry, dusting, cleaning etc.
Enabling me to fulfil social and work activities – shopping, going to pubs, music festivals etc
Having a valid UK work permit, Visa, National Insurance Number, 2 references
Able to speak and write good English

My PA must be someone who is professional, hard working, honest, reliable, flexible and have an understanding of independent living.
