If you've arrived here, thanks for clicking. I assume you've clicked because you're you're interested, and for that expression of interest, I thank you! I am a part-time photographer based between Lincoln and Nottingham. I am currently conducting research for a photography project in order to (ultimately) produce a hardback book as a method of self-publication and distribution.

The proposed name for this particular project is currently "sk:n" (no, it's not a typo!) and the content and photographs are aimed at having a mildly erotic and suggestive subject within a scene or location you wouldn't normally expect to find such suggestion or passion - a term I like to call 'displacement'. Along with other arrangement ideas (e.g. contrast) I want to produce a series of different images (although linked together using the theme) using local models that produce the "double take" effect from the viewer, where they read the explanation about the photo, then have to look again for the detail they missed the first time.

I don't have a great deal of experience working with models as I have previously shot predominantly weddings, landscapes and candid photography. However, for this project I am seeking any women, men or couples who either have prior modelling experience (to any degree), or if not are generally comfortable with being photographed - particularly with the aforementioned subject nature.

The project is aimed to be informal and fun - I will be working on my own, and I am generally aiming for a non-profit approach, as I am more interested in having my work made more widely available. Thus, if a mutual arrangement can be made regarding photographs taken on a TFCD basis, that would be ideal. Alternatively, I am prepared to organise studio shots for free, or pay willing model(s) on an amount-per-photograph basis, although only one or two final photographs are likely to be used from each model or couple. This amount is open to negotiation within reason dependent upon the subject nature.

The project is still "taking shape" and I would welcome serious input if you have any ideas or suggestions. Samples of previous work can be supplied via e-mail for interested parties! It is also worth noting that I can travel, and provide travel/lifts to locations where required.
